Subject Verb Agreement These

1. A sentence or clause between the subject and the verb does not change the subject`s number. They do NOT apply to other helping verbs, as they can, must, must, can, want, must. Article 9. (There are two parts of these things.) Since they can describe either the individuals in the group (more than one plural) or the group as a single entity (one singular person), these nouns pose particular problems. Some undefined pronouns like everyone else, some are singular or plural depending on what they relate to. (Is the thing referred to referred to or not referred to?) Be careful when selecting a verb to accompany these pronouns. The example above implies that others, with the exception of Hannah, like to read comics. Therefore, the plural verb is the correct form to use. A clause that begins with whom, the one or the others, and the coming between the subject and the verb, can cause insequements. Joe should not follow, was not, since Joe is unique? But Joe isn`t really there, so let`s say that wasn`t the case. The sentence shows the subjunctive mind used to express things that are hypothetical, desirable, imaginary or objectively contradictory. The connective subjunctive mind pairs individual subjects with what we usually consider plural verbs.
