We are the ideal venue for most types of functions ranging from weddings to office parties, to special birthdays.

Our experienced function planners can assist with everything including decor in the restaurant, flower arrangements, music, photographers, etc.

frequently asked questions

What is the minimum function size?

* Any table of 12 or more adults is considered a function and is offered a reduced menu with choices that are discussed with Franck and/or Kerry.

What is the largest function that you can accommodate?

* The restaurant can comfortably accommodate 120 people. Smaller functions of 30 pax or less can be accommodated on one of our mezzanine levels. Anything between that would require exclusivity of the restaurant. In high season (Nov to Apr) this amounts to a minimum number of 90 guests, and out of season, a minimum number of 70 guests would need to be paid for.

What food can be ordered?

* Please refer to our Restaurant for ideas. From our current menu’s, choose 2/3 starters, mains & desserts

Do you have an event planner?

* Most functions make use of our experienced event planner (included in the price per head) and our uber talented and reasonably priced florist.

Do you charge a venue hire?

* We do NOT CHARGE A VENUE HIRE

What does the price include?

* Our price per head for items off the current menu is R280.00 excluding drinks and a 10% service charge. As is often the case, there are special food and drinks requirements and this price would differ.

And corkage?

* The Foodbarn has become well known for our very reasonably priced wine list; we therefore do not permit corkage for functions.

How do we pay?

* Final payments can be made by EFT, cash or cheque. Credit card payments will incur an additional charge depending on which credit card is used.

* One bill will be presented at the end of your function at which time, the balance is due.

Do we pay a deposit?

* A 50% deposit on the proposed food bill is required to secure your booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

* Should your function be cancelled 10 days or less prior to the event, we reserve the right to retain your deposit. If we can fill the restaurant after the cancellation, we would be happy to remit an equitable portion of your deposit back to you.
