"Franck, who was well known for his food at La Colombe Restaurant, and Pete, who is a fantastic host and 'people's person' have come together and created a little piece of heaven"
Full Circle Magazine, July 2008

"The food of Franck Dangereux is justly legendary. His signature in Noordhoek is less fanciful than that of La Colombe. Yet it is equally as fine in the quality of the raw ingredients, the innovation apparent in the dishes and the attention to detail in their presentation. This is a man dedicated to his craft and with partner Pete de Bruin at front of house, the duo is set for even greater things."
Colin Sharp, Habitat, March/April 2008

Food is more than mere nutrition. Food, in some ways, is the essence of what life is about - it should be savoured, smelt, tasted, even touched, devoured by the eyes, experienced in all senses. Food in short is a sensual adventure. This is the philosophy of award-winning internationally recognised chef, author and liver of life, Franck Dangereux."

"The... best value fine dining on the continent, if not anywhere... No longer dangereux to your wallet, but lethal the the notion that haute causine has to be haughty."
TIME Magazine, April 2008

"Franck Dangereux left a celebrated restaurant last year to open The Foodbarn in Noordhoek, Cape Town. For this award-winning chef, life's now about simpler food directions, a young kitchen team and more family time."
Food and Home, March 2007

Franck Dangereux in Marie Claire

Earlier in 2008, Franck took his kit off for a good cause. Twenty-three local celebs mustered the courage to strip off for Marie Claire magazine's latest "Each One Reach One" campaign, which was featured in the March 2008 edition.

Every year, Marie Claire organises the naked feature to raise funds for a worthy cause - this year the campaign raised funds for Rape Crisis.
